IGNOU Admission 2026 is expected to start soon, from 15th December 2025* for the January session. Interested students can apply for the desired UG, PG, diploma, and certificate courses offered in ODL and online mode. IGNOU registration fee is INR 300/-. It is a non-refundable fee to be paid at the time of admission. Bachelor courses like BA, COM, BBA, BCA, B.Sc., etc, are offered for 3 years and 6 semesters. IGNOU Master’s degree courses like MBA, MA, M.SC, MCA, M.Com, MSW, are available for a minimum duration of 2 years with 4 semesters. To apply for UG courses, students must have completed 10+2 from a recognised board, and for PG courses, a graduation degree with at least 45% to 55% (varies by course) is needed.

IGNOU admission process will be held in online mode only, including payment of the fees. IGNOU offers an affordable UG course fee ranging between INR 4000/- to INR 30,000/- and PG program fee around INR 8K to 55K. What is DEB-ID

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has made a new announcement stating that some rules for admission to the university have been changed. This will apply to all those who want to take admission in open distance and online education. The announcement states that DEB ID is mandatory for admission to IGNOU; without this, admission will not be granted to the university.

IGNOU Entrance Exam 

There are entrance exams for courses like B.Ed., M.Ed., Ph.D., and Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing. Students who want to pursue these courses have to go through the entrance exam conducted by IGNOU. The exam assesses the teaching aptitude and general awareness of the candidates through multiple-choice questions. Exam mode is the only official. 

IGNOU Exam Form 

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts term-end examinations twice a year. The IGNOU exam portal is closed right now, so no student can fill out the exam form. But whenever the exam is conducted, the portal opens one month before that, and candidates can fill the form from the official website.

IGNOU Grade Card

IGNOU Revaluation Form Policy

• Students can apply for re-evaluation only after the Term End Examination (TEE) results are declared.
• The last date to apply is within 40 days from the date of the declaration of results.
• The re-evaluation fee is ₹750 per course, and the fee for photocopying the answer sheet is ₹100 per course.
• Re-evaluation is not permitted for projects, assignments, dissertations, practical exams, and seminars.
